The question is ill defined. No unit for 10x10x10 and no thickness for penny. Therefore, the answer is Yes and No.

you dont need thickness. If you consider each penny as a square with egde of half inch, total volume for pennies is 15*(0.5/12)*(0.5/12) = 8640. Volume of room is 1000 ft^3. So the answer is NO.

why 15*(0.5/12)*(0.5/12) = 8640?

this is because 0.5 is in inches and we need to convert it into Feet, 1 feet=12 inches.

400 pennies can fit into an area of 100*100, then if we put the pennies together it would have 15 feet of height, so as the height of room is 10, 15feet/400 =would be the height of pennies if we put 400 pennies in each level. so 15*12/400=0.45 so they will fit in the room

You don't have to assume the penny as square. You can think the stack of pennies as a cylinder whose height and diameter is given. So one can easily find the volume of this cylinder here. V = pi*r*r*h where r = 0.25/12 (r =d/2 = 0.5/2) and h = 15.
