That doesn't make sense to reapply in 6-12 months, all of the hiring for the teams at Apple are independent. I had two finals rounds, got rejected for both, and then they interviewed me for another job two weeks later.

I'm not saying the kind of situation you describe is impossible or anything, and sure, hiring may be pretty independent across teams. But if you're wondering why your interviewers, according to some of your other posts, were making snide comments about the number of times you've interviewed, there you have it. You generally get rejected for being underqualified, and it usually takes at least 6 months to go from underqualified to qualified.
