Interrupt is caused by external events such as illegal access of hardware devices.

After handling the interrupt pgm will continue to execute.

But....

In interrupt caused by events happend inside the pgm like divide by zero, illegal access of peripheral devices, illegal access of any invalid address.

Here After handling exception pgm try to restart the pgm

get a life dude...get back to basics
interrupt: asynchronous event that needs attention.
H/W interrupts are caused due to h/w components like ADC, DAC or any other external event and its not due to illegal h/w access.

Software interrupts are caused in software ...like system calls etc.
Exceptions are class of s/w interrupts.exceptions occur in cases like divide by zero/overflow/underflow
