Microsoft Interview Question for Software Engineer in Tests

-Check the default page settings in the option menu and try to change and reload again
-Try to reload IE multiple times and check the count of occurrences.
-Empty the cache and reload again
-Type in the URL and search might be there is problem with navigation bar
-Move my mouse all over the browser and check the status bar...might be page is hidden behind white browser screen (I am not sure whether this could be the case ever still a good test case)
-Check the scroll bar might be page is auto scrolled
-Check whether I am on private browsing...on some browser page is blank in that case
-Right click to select the page source code and check if it is showing blank
-Try to re-install IE

Re-installation should not be one of the point, when you have the option for contacting Dev

if you mean reinstallation of new build then its fine

Apart from above verifications also check the below.

- Try close Fiddler and open IE
- Check the internet options
- Look at the event logs
- Try open the same page in other browser
- Try open the same page on previous version of IE

---> Check internet connection in network settings,may be network cable got detached
---> Check if any proxy settings ,, will set it to all defaults
---> Will try some LAN sites if they are working

launch IE in a debugger ( windbg/cdb) and see if you can pick up any first chance exceptions.

* Load the same page on other browsers, including old browsers it's trying to upgrade from
* Install on a clean machine instead of upgrade
* Check any settings not enabled
* Run in debugger

1.check internet connection
2.try to reload page
3. check same page on other browser.
4.try to find logs
5.try to open page in old version of Brwoser.
