Just like asking you to implement itoa. first, find each digit d, then putch(d+'1'-1)

putch( '0' + d );

would be even easier to read.

In JAVA suppose the putch(char ch) is as follows

public static void putch(char ch){
	System.out.print(ch);
}

Then the printInt(int n) might be implemented as below for any positive integer

public static void printInt(int n){
	if(n/10!=0){
		printInt(n/10);
	}
	putch((char)('0'+(n%10)));
}
