Youtube uses adobe flash player,

1. adobe flash player crashed
2. adobe flash player incompatible with browser through which you are playing youtube video
3. there is some problem with video file

debugging :

attach debugger and see adobe flash player is loaded are not.
once you attach debugger, you get all exceptions of the problem,and anlayze them.

You might be using internet explorer :)) hahaha

if you dont have flash player installed you tube switches to HTML5 and plays the video. So check if flash player is not there / compatible the browser is html5 complaint.

More valid scenario would be -
1. coded
2. Network latency
3. Firewall

Possible Reasons of failing :
1)No flash player installed
2)Video file corrupted/unavailable
3)page might be in HTML-5

Possible solutions:
1)Use Firebug if you are using FF/any other debugger.
2)Check the web-service call is proper/not.
3)Ensure your browser's version is latest and compatible with all latest technologies.
4)Check out the logs from debugger.

If everything is fine restart the system ;)

see if ur using chrome, uninstall it ..lol

4.Browser compatibility issue.
5.Try in another browser.

1.Check Internet connection
2.Check Whether Flash player is installed properly?
3.Try to Play that video in other browsers like Firefox,Chrome,IE, Opera
4.Try to Play Other videos, so you will come to know that whether this problem is only for this video or not?
5.Download the video and play it in other player

check the details of video
--> May be its flagged by people, is there any warning message at some corner etc.
--> Use different browsers
--> Open the console in the browser and try to check if there are any error messages.
