Qualcomm Interview Question
Software Engineer / DevelopersObjects declared as volatile are not used in certain optimizations because their values can change at any time. The system always reads the current value of a volatile object at the point it is requested, even if a previous instruction asked for a value from the same object. Also, the value of the object is written immediately on assignment.
This is what volatile means, but when the code is compiled and the assembler converts the C code to an assembly language, what are the differences you see, when you have declared a variable Vs normal declaration, that was the question asked to me during the Qualcomm interview...
Hey Nishit,
Are you the guy who was interviewed on Aug 7 Friday with Qualcomm for position of Linux Kernel Engineer for QuIC group of QC? If yes, have you heard from them so far?
No, I was interview for the post of Embedded Software Engineer--Common Drivers position on the 11th of August...I havent heard from them yet....its just been 1 week and these guys take like upto 3 weeks to reply..wat abt u???
No, I haven't yet heard from them. My interview took place on 7th and one week has gone. I was told that I will be hearing from them within two weeks. I wonder if they are going to call me up because they usually take one week if they are going to offer the position else they send the reject letter after 1 week. I have heard so reading other forums. I hope this isn't true!!
Hey Nishit,
It would be really really helpful if you could describe your experience as a whole during the interview. How did it go and how long do they take to reply. I can understand if you don't wanna reply here, you can email your experience at niharikajethmalani@yahoo.com
Well...i had a phone interview first and within 4 days i got a on site interview call..had my interview on the 11th...timing was from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm...6 interviews in total..5 technical and 1 HR...the interview had all these really expected questions...made me write C code in every interview and what stuff have I worked on..and OS concepts, RTOS concepts, Embedded Stuff probs, C codes, pretty normal stuff...
Are you preparing for an interview...or have a call..what is ur scenario...???
Heyy Nishit. I have a phone interview for a similar position. Could would tell me what sort of questions i can expect for the phone interview?
guys its pity that off late people 've started gossiping about their interview schedule/getting feedback from the company they were interviewed for, and other useless craps....i guess we're here to discuss the problems and it seems we're getting side-tracked....and yes whoever wants to discuss things not directly related to the problems, better do so through mails..and keep the thread clean off useless junks...thank you.
If people are commenting and discussing interview process, how is that bothering you. Your name says it all, this is what you are. Add 'LE' to your name and this is what you end up becoming. Get a life and let others discuss things which they want to. AssHO-le
I seriously doubt if this comment is by the creator of this website. Anyways, shouldn't there be a separate category to discuss in greater detail and ease everybody's interview/job quests.
Yeah I doubt the veracity of the post by Gayle too. Between there should be a separate where the person can discuss the whole interview process. It will help others better and will help the person too. Something like Glassdoor is doing. We can have something like that.
@Nishit: I got reject from QC :(( Do let me know if you hear from them!
Sorry to hear that dude...actually one of my other friends who had his interview on the 3th of august got a reject today after 17 days...I had my interview on the 11th,so gonna wait atleast 2 weeks before i write my HR a email for the status...gud luck for ur future interviews dude...
Hi,
I got a reject from them after exactly 2 weeks...they did not specify any reason whatsoever...
Also, got another call from them..have a phone interview this week...ssup with u...
