a perfect hash with 0 hash collision will perform in O(1). Arrays, sorted or otherwise, always offer a performance that is a function of it's length.

Depends on HashMap implementation.

A search in Sorted Array would always be O(log n)

In a HashMap, the lookup can vary between O(1) [Perfect HashMap] to O(n) [Faulty HashCode]

The above statement is not right. the search in sorted array can be O(log(n)) if you use binary search.

As search in sorted array using binary search is always O(log n) and in hashmap worst case O(n). So my answer will be sorted array.
