The new email system can have the following modules:

1. Mail User Agent - The front end UI for the system
2. A new protocol for sending the messages over the internet and new mail transfer agent
3. New encryption mechanism for the message (Security)
4. New Mail exchange servers
5. New proocol for retrievng the emails
6. Back end data base support usernames/password and storing the emails.
7. New standards for all the above features

I would add the verified email feature. i.e Sender verification.

We were assked to build a new system - doesnt mean we have to include all the features anew.
I would basically like to shift the exchange servers to every user's desktop instead of mantaining a server for the asynchronous storage backup purpose - somewhat like how POP works. Qn is, how do I provide the backup in case of storage failure on desktops?

The point missed here is, why did it crash? And then go about addressing that issue. Rest of the details can follow depending on the issue.
