Functional testing verifies that each function of the software operates in conformance with the requirement.
Regression Testing:- it is used to confirm that changes in one part of code does not affecting unchanged part of code.
System Testing:- End to end functionality testing of a software product.It is a testing of complete and fully integrated software product.
Functional Testing: testing that your code meets the functional requirements specification. Given certain inputs, the code outputs the expected outputs.
- kensv August 05, 2010Regression Testing: After an initial pass of the functional testing has been completed some changes were made in isolated areas. Regression testing is re-running the fuctional tests that pertain to those isolated areas to make sure the changes did not break the code.
System Testing: After the functional testing is complete and there is confidence that the functional requirements have been met, system tests all functions together and in ways that are unexpected. System reliability is the focus of system testing, whereas system expected function is the focus of functional testing.
