use two extra stacks to store min and max at every level
public class MinMaxStack extends Stack{
Stack min = new Stack();
Stack max = new Stack();

public object pop(){
return super.pop();
min.pop();max.pop();
}

public void push(object){
super.push(object);
if(min.peek()>=object) min.push(object);
else min.push(min.peek());

if(max.peek()<=object) max.push(object);
else max.push(max.peek());
}

public object min(){
return min.pop();
}
public object max(){
return max.pop();
}
}

I think the min() and max() should return min.peek() or max.peek().

yes either you should use peek() for both min and max or else you need to pop for both min and max together
