Google Interview Question
Developer AdvocatesCountry: United States
Interview Type: Phone Interview
I have had such experiences in the past. There are many scenarios I have considered :
1. Is this in the critical path
2. How many customers are going to use this feature right away (assuming that the product/feature is going to be made GA.
3. Can customer (s) wait ?
4. How long will it take to fix the issues ? How many engineers/teams will be involved ?
Can the issue be isolated to a particular feature ? Does it affect other features in the product ?
Depending on the above analysis , I usually discuss these with internal stake holders (from product managers/program managers/release engineers/sales) and then , once i get enough information, talk to the devs depending on the seriousness of the issue to get it resolved as quickly as possible. But, equally put effort on testing it thoroughly, since its basically boils down to ... happy customers happy company.
what happens if i answer "No" to this question ?
