when you type the address in the url....i contacts ths DNS server for the IP address....using UDP....and then when the IP address is returned by the DNS server....then the IP packet is prepared with the destination addess as the IP that you DNS returned........
.

Your ISP will route you to the IP address of the primary domain name server of the url that you have typed, the website that you will see will be the information that is hosted for the URL on that server. Your ISP will update this information daily, depending on the size of your ISP that information could be gathered from a root server or from a larger ISP. When a website makes a change to their hosting (DNS) this can take 24-48 hours for you to be taken to the new address because of the need for the new information to propagate.
