Select Export records to a Sage 50 import file format.
Select Next.
Select the record type you wish to export (for example Vendors).
Enter a name for the export file.
Enter the location where you would like to store the file (Browse to the location then select OK).
Select Next.
On the Select Records window, select the accounts/records you wish to export.
Select Next, the export file will be generated.
When exporting is completed, you will see a summary, verify that the data you selected has been exported correctly and are marked "has been exported".
Select OK.
The Export Wizard will show you the location and name of the exported file. Please note this information.
Select Finish

Close the Cheque Run window

Sage Drive is a service that allows you to access your Sage 50 company data from anywhere you have Sage 50 installed.
Now you can access your Sage 50 data from the office, your home, or your accountant’s office, by using the cloud and avoiding file transfer services that could lead to damaged or corrupted data.
Sage Drive can help with automatic access of your data from many locations without even having to do a restore or a backup, as long as Sage 50 is installed on the needed computers and with an available internet connection. The downloading to computer number (2) only needs to be done once. Sage Drive syncs automatically. No need to re-upload the file every time it opens.
Sage Drive can only be used in single user mode at this time over the internet connection.
Sage Drive is ideal for use when you are away from the "Office" to be able to use the data at "Home" without needing to manually restore a backup.
The idea behind Sage Drive is that when you are away from the primary data location, you just simply open the file on "Home", work on the file and then close it. The changes will eventually be synced back to the primary data location "Office" via the internet. No need to go through a backup and restore procedure.

Situation 1: Is the latest Sage 50 update installed on the server?
install the latest update of Sage 50 on the server PC so the Connection Manager is updated.
Situation 2: The Sage 50 sample company file opens fine and the company file resides on a server
Make sure the latest connection manager version is installed on the server
Convert the file to the latest version of Sage 50

Situation 3: The Sage 50 sample company cannot be opened
Deactivate the firewall
Deactivate the anti-virus
Open Windows Control Panel
For Windows XP, click on Add/Remove Programs
For Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10, click on Programs and Features
Choose Sage 50 Accounting
For Windows XP, click on Modify
For Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10, click on Change
When warned that Sage 50 is already installed, click OK
On the next window, choose the second option "Update/Reinstall Program"
Verify all other applications are closed and all data saved
When done, click Restart Now
Reboot the computer
Open Sage 50
If issued is resolved, reactivate firewall and anti-virus
If Sage cannot open properly, contact Sage 50 customer support: 1-888-522-2722
Situation 4: A third party software (cloud or local) is locking the data file
Browse to the location of your company file where the .SAI icon file and .SAJ folder reside.
Right-click the .SAJ folder and rename it by adding a 1 at the end.
If it doesn't allow you to rename then some third party software is still locking the data file.
Try rebooting to see if it is a temporary lock.
Otherwise, you will need to find the software that is causing the block. Possible software:
Antivirus currently scanning your computer.
local backup software (including windows backup/restore.
DropBox, iCloud (cloud backup software)
As a last resort, you can copy your data files to another location not affected by the third party software.
For example, move them to c:\mysagedata\ (you may have to create the folder named \mysagedata\)
Stop here.
If it allows, then the file is not locked.
Rename the .SAJ again and remove the 1 at the end.

Section I: Verify these first
Confirm that all antivirus and firewalls on the local computer and on the server (or on the computer where the data is located) are disabled. ( For example "on access" scanner from Windows Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc).
Verify if all workstations are running the same version of sage 50.
Verify the issue is resolved. If the issue persists, proceed to Section II.
.Section II: Get the real IP address
Note: This process is applicable for a local area network (LAN).
Get IP address from the server: On the server, select Start, Run, type CMD, then press Enter.
Type ipconfig, then press Enter to get server IP address.
From the local computer: Select Start, Run
Type in \\IPaddress and press Enter
Example: \\10.150.20.170
From the explorer window, open the company on the server
Note: if you can open it without any error messages, you have to fix the mapping on the local computer or create the new drive with the new address.
Section III: Creating or Fixing the mapping on the local computer
On the Desktop, right-click on My computer and choose Map network drive.
Choose the drive letter.
Example: Z:
Type \\IP address in the Folder field and press Finish. If you see the old drive listed already, correct the IP address
Example: \\10.150.20.170
Open the company through the mapped drive from Sage 50 Accounting.
Section IV: Goto the IP address and make sure it works and then gonig back to hostname can make it work
Goto the \\ipaddress and make sure the file opens
Go back via \\hostname and make sure the file opens
Verify that you can reboot and it opens via hostname now

Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features
Highlight the Sage 50 program you want deleted and select Uninstall
Step III: Deleted Sage 50 Program Files folder
Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)
Delete the Sage program directory of the version you are working with, (ie; Sage 50 2017)
Step IV: Renaming the Sage 50 Accounting installation folder
Add an x to the beginning of this folder located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Installshield Installation Information

This file directory is a system file and by default is hidden. If you do not find the InstallShield Installation Information folder under C:\ Program Files (x86), go to Tools, Folder Options, View to show hidden files, folders and drives.
Step V: Clean the Temporary folder
Click start, type %TEMP% and press Enter.
Delete all the files and folders from this directory.
Some files or folders will be locked by windows and cannot be deleted, skip these files.
