Look at this link "efreedom.com/Question/1-198199/Reverse-String-Place-C-CPlusPlus"

The function called "strrev_utf8" in here should be able to do it, though i have not tested it. A normal reversal does not work.

1. Reverse the string.
2. Do pairwise exchange.

That would not work since UTF-8 characters are not fixed length. It could be 1 byte, 2 bytes, or 4 bytes. We can't just do a reverse and do pairwise exchange. But your method would work for UTF16 strings.
