empty class can be used as the marker using inheritance:

class Marker{
}
class C : Marker{
}

and later the code can call something like:

var c = new C();
if(c is Marker){
}

We sometimes use empty marker interfaces, not classes.

serializable is also empty..its only work to give the identity

I've always heard Serializable is a marker interface. Does that mean that this interface has no declared methods?

Yes, marker interface has no declarations or constants- just an empty body.

use of empty class is jst to show that two object of class cannot be stored at the same location....

In OOD, if there is a class with no attributes and operatrions, we can delete the class.
