Raw sockets allow you to control the entire packet sent over wire.

Raw socket allows the application to talk to IP or Ethernet layer. So if your application can handle peer to peer communication (e.g flow control and application identification mech) then use Raw socket.

Network follow big endianness. htonl and ntohl are generic function used to convert between network and host system
