yes, sizeof is also determined in compiling time

int i = 2;
cout << sizeof(++i) << endl;
will output 2

Also , compiler generates functions using templates i.e static polymorphism

It is not about grilling or any thing else, nor is the stupid question. It is to know how passionate the candidate is at the language internals.

C++ generates code for default constructors, but not in all scenarios. The passionate programmer will explore details, whom they want.
